台東紅烏龍 - TáiDōng Hóng WūLóng

This 紅烏龍 - HóngWūLóng from 台東 - TáiDōng offers a full, gentle, and deep cup, carried by beautiful aromatic maturity, a delicately roasted touch, and a long finish. Its dense, silky texture comes from a distinctive making process shaped by deeper oxidation, intense rolling, and sustained roasting. This Autumn 2018 harvest is a very personal tea. I came across it through my tea teacher: a tea-growing friend in 台東 - TáiDōng had brought a box of 紅烏龍 - HóngWūLóng from his tea garden. Finding it remarkable, my teacher thought to set aside a small quantity for me, knowing how much I love this style of tea. His gesture was so precious to me that I could not bring myself to drink it; as time passed, I quietly watched over this token of kindness. Today, for the tea festival, I have chosen to share a small portion of it with other tea lovers.
