酸柑茶 - SuānGānChá - Aged Mandarin Peel Tea 2020 - > 130g

high-mountain white tea inserted into mandarins

Aged Mandarin Peel Tea 2020 (酸柑茶 - SuānGānChá) is made with the artisanal expertise of 喻佩蘭 Yu Peilan’s family. It uses high-mountain white tea from the Lishan region inserted into Taiwanese “Tiger Head” mandarins,» then traditionally dried and aged for five years. The mandarin peel develops a deep black sheen and rich aroma, while the white tea inside slowly matures, revealing gentle sweetness, woody notes, and warm citrus peel fragrance. On the first sip, you will notice the soft fruity acidity of the mandarin and the warm aroma of the peel’s essential oils, followed by the smooth sweetness and base depth of the aged white tea. The finish is clean and comforting, like a gentle warmth spreading through your chest. For brewing, you can use a small purple clay teapot (紫砂 - Zǐ Shā) in the GongFuCha style with water brought to 100 degrees Celsius, which helps clearly express the aromatic layers. We recommend even more using a clay pot or heat-proof glass teapot and gently maintaining a very low fire for slow warmth infusion. This method produces a rounder, warmer, and sweeter liquor that quickly helps the body relax. When slow-brewed in a glass pot, the amber hue of the tea also offers a beautiful visual experience. Aged Mandarin Peel Tea was originally a comforting daily drink in the Hakka villages of Taiwan; it now gently accompanies you with comfort and calm in every cup.
